Clean Desserts

I've been eating dark chocolate (75% cocoa or more) to satisfy my inherent need for something sweet after every meal, and this has been great for the last few months but recently I got bored. SO BORED of dark chocolate. Growing up, my mom baked a new dessert every week and I have found myself day dreaming about her oatmeal butterscotch bars, chocolate caramel drizzle brownies, pineapple cakes...the list of butter-filled-gluten-flour-sugary goodness goes on.

Something I have learned in my journey of weight fluctuation, fitness and healthy eating is that when I find myself day dreaming about bad foods I'm on a slippery slope down. But this time I won 't let it win! I found a great recipes on the blog Whole Foods New Body that I played around with this week, and I plan on experimenting with my own dessert ideas this weekend (hello pumpkin somethings!). But if you're like me and need to satisfy that sweet tooth ASAP before you cave in and find yourself binge eating a pan of brownies and pint of Ben and Jerry's, head over to her blog for some awesome desserts. This is my favorite right now- took about 10 minutes to make and tastes delicious with a glass of almond milk:
