Wednesday Workout: Favs Right Now

Wednesday, October 8, 2014

Usually when I'm getting back on the exercise train I get really obsessed with one trainer (see: Fitness Blender binges). But this is how my process goes: Fitness blender binge, boredom (boredom = excuses and hating exercising),  Bender Fitness Binges, boredom (boredom = excuses and hating exercising), and so on and so on. So to avoid all this I've been trying to spice up the routine with someone different every day of the week, which is easier now that I have dumbbells. Here are some of my favs:

Yoga, Pilates, Bender Fitness Workout Fusion - I like to do this after a hard HIIT. It is super relaxing and stretchy, but strength-building.

Brutal HIIT Ladder Workout with my fav Fitness Blender. Death, but the time intervals decrease as the workout goes on so it feels better than just dying the whole time.

Bikini Prep Body Sculpt: I did this with the dumbbell option. Hooolllyyyy.

45 Minute Brutal Total Body HIIT Workout. I just love this guy. His workouts are all really different, new moves.

Cardio Barre Fusion. This incorporates barre, pilates, and some cardio. It's a great way to switch things up!

Weight Training Workout for Weight Loss and Fat Burning: Again, trying to incorporate weights. I like to do this after a good cardio (running or HIIT).

Also feeling a little more motivated as I so nicely woke up to this from Mr. Shut Up and Train. K, done making excuses:

  1. Oh yay!!! I love this and need it... I am very motivated right now too for some reason. I'm thinking jeans, leather leggings, knits, holiday wear might have something to do with it lol. Thanks for sharing woman, you always post stuff that motivates me!

  2. I honestly can't imagine doing a 45 minute video at home, is that bad? my attention span is not long enough. But I really need to step it up, and I have some weights (only 10lbs, you think that would work?) so I am going to try some of these - I'll let you know how I go!

    1. A 45 minute fitness video once a week might be doable. I would like to try the barre fitness video because that is something new to me. #wowlinkup

    2. I've done 60 minute DVD workouts two days in a row (Sat/Sun). There's enough variety in what they're doing and at the end you're surprised it went by so fast.

  5. I love this post! I agree with Kathy, the plan/triceps extension looks pretty serious. I have been doing things at home because I still have an injury getting in the way of the gym and I always think of other important stuff that prevents me from doing 45 minutes at home. However, that is all I can do so I fast forward through the breaks.

  6. The Cardio Barre might be doable. LOL. However, the leader's makeup is HORRIBLE!

  10. That last saying is totally true! I've had friends who are like, "How do you have time to workout with an infant?" and I'm like, "Because I'll workout over showering and getting ready for the day, everyday."

I'm really into barre and barre fusion classes now too! Do you take them in a group? Group classes are a blast :)

  17. OOOH - cool videos - I'm going to check a couple of them out!

I am such a fan when you post these things - I love different workouts!

Also - I started a new program called Rewired - I'll post about it sometime during the week - But we'll see if I can stick the ENTIRE DURATION of the program.

You know I'm a lone wolf kind of fitness chick - programs are too structured! hahaha
