MIA with the dogs

Thursday, September 4, 2014

I'm MIA this week due to the new member of our family- I'm spending every extra second playing with him, and working on correcting Andi's "extreme jealous behaviors" (my little diva). For now, I leave you with a million pictures of my twin pitties who I am so so obsessed with at the minute:

(Ziggy is trying to teach Andi dog things like fetch, but she still just wants me to roll her golf ball towards her (yes, Andi's favorite toy is a golf ball)...

Can you see Andi shooting jealous daggers at Zig in this picture? She's insane. But she's getting better every day, and they've been great playmates!

Andi doesn't even sleep like a normal dog..

Trying to get a "family photo" but Andi was busy licking me while Harrison was trying to look casual and restrain her.

HI!

Exercising is a little tougher with these two around (yeah, I exercise in our creepy wood panel storage basement. I call it the exercise dungeon)

And a little tear jerker that some of the volunteers from Ziggy's rescue sent of the before and after (seriously the volunteers at Pitties and Purrs are incredible- they came to our house, brought Zig over twice to make sure he and Andi are ok and have been on call since Zig came to stay with us, and they rehabilitated him from that to this):

So that's what I'm up to instead of coming up with blog posts. How's everyone else's week? Anyone else out there have a dog with serious "jealousy issues"?

  1. Aw! Ziggy and Andi are going to be BFF's!!!!

We had Bryce for a while, and our friend needed a good home for her other cat, Nox, due to her hectic schedule. So we took him in.
The first 2 weeks were awful - 2 "only children" cats - lots of diva - lots of hissing. It was awful. Finally we worked it out - and now, they are partners in crime.

  4. aww look how cute they are. i had a dog and then we got a puppy and she was never jealous, but she stopped acting like a puppy herself, which was actually awesome because she was a nutter. my cats dont get jealous - or maybe they do - but they get bitchy as heck.

  6. So sweet!! New BFFs!! How great that they have each other to play with! Our little pup is one year old this month!! Finally starting to grow out of the puppy phase--slowly! He is so attached to me--and gets jealous of our cats, or anyone else trying to love on me:)

  7. Awwww doggies!!! Two are always better than one! When we brought Mac home, Gracie wasn't sure she liked him staying there but she really sort of took a mommy approach to him and looks after him. Mac gets totally jealous any time he isn't getting attention and knocks your hand off Gracie or Livvy and forces you to pet him. Haha!

  10. Awwww!!! I just love your dogs- they are beautiful! Our dog doesn't sleep like a regular dog either. I'll have to show you a pic. He has a bed, lovely and plush. yet he sleeps with his head hanging off it. Half the time he is on his back with his junk all out and legs wide... sooo funny!

  13. I'm still dying over this cuteness! That is sooo awesome that they helped Ziggy out to make him the happy and healthy pup that he is. Both of my fur babies definitely have jealousy issues but I think it's more playful than anything. Like, "Mom loves me more! Nah nah nah boo boo!" LOL!

  15. When we added our second, there was definitely some minor jealousy issues. They are best friends now though and inseparable! They are both adorable and I love when people rescue :)
