Review: Graze Snack Box + Try a box for free!!

Friday, September 5, 2014

This post brought to you by Graze.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love snacking. Like love love love snacking. Lately I’ve been in a funk—tired of fruit and nuts, not trying to spend half my income on snack bars, so I was pumped when this opportunity to partner with Graze came.

Graze offers an extensive range of tasty and nutritious snacks delivered directly to your home or office, and fits into standard mailboxes so no signing or anything necessary. You can choose weekly or bi-monthly deliveries. See? Look at this perfectly sized box:

With a huge variety of 90+ snacks, there is always something new to try- I tried 3 boxes and there was not a same snack in any of them! They have an in-house nutritionist, Jess, who makes sure every snack has a benefit to you whether it be ample source of protein/fiber or essential vitamins and nutrients. I’ve got to admit, it was nice to have someone creative putting together my snacks, and these snacks were so creative! Sour Cream & Onion Cashews (Harrison AND my favorite—that went fat), Garden of England nut mix, Tropical Dacquiri…

Each box contains four perfectly portioned snacks (1 serving) tailored to your preferences. They have nutrition labels, which makes portion control and tracking a cinch.  Here is a sample nutrition label:

I like the zillions of options to choose from. You can have boxes tailored to any kinds of dietary preferences: they have low-calorie boxes, gluten-free, dairy-free, or you can go and “trash” snacks with certain ingredients. I really liked how they put fun/more nutritious twists on old school snacks (bananas foster!)

It’s easy to go onto the website and rate the snacks, opt out of specific snacks or types of snacks, and make special requests. They then handpick a box based on your ratings and snacks you decide to trash and allergies/requests you make.
You can try out your first box free using the code SUMMERBOX31 or by clicking this First Box Free link!

While $6 for 4 snacks seems a little steep at first, it IS cheaper than clean eating snack bars, plus I like the convenience of the little box fitting right into my mailbox and being able to just toss a pre-packaged snack in my lunch bag, and like I said the creativity of the snacks is a huge plus as well as the portion control (no choice to binge eat the delicious bananas foster!). Plus you get about 10 coupons with the first box so it averages out to a little less than $6/box over 6 weeks.

All in all I don’t think I’ll be a year-round weekly subscriber, but I’m going to stick with the bi-monthly deliveries. It’s nice to switch up my snacks and get new ideas, and the price really isn’t bad.

What do you think? Would you do a snack delivery service?

  1. I've never heard of graze box, though I'm pretty intrigued after reading your review! I'm a huge snacker too, and this seems like a lot better of an option than hitting up the vending machine at work. Thanks for sharing!

  2. They sound tasty but to be honest, I'm so hesitant to try these at home delivery things. For one, I don't think I can because I'm in Canada but also, I still think fresh fruit and veggies are a better snack. Don't hate! I know that makes me sound so obnoxious but often these type of snacks are high in sugar. Is that the case with these? I totally recognize that these things help people keep things interesting (which is awesome) Like I said, I've never tried them so I'm probably not the best judge. Also, what are banana fosters?? I don't remember those from being a kid.

    1. I was def skeptical about this too, and agree that fruits and veggies are the best. I was just SO tired of fruits and veggies! This was a nice break- a lot of the snacks are dried fruit and nuts, as well as different flavored nuts. It's nice because you can browse the snacks on the site and "throw out" sugary snacks too!

  3. I really like the idea of the snack box. I feel like I get in a rut with certain snacks and meals, always having the same things or too lazy to figure out what else is "healthy" or what not. I am not sure if I want to pony up $6/week for just 4 snacks, but it is something I will consider!

  4. Love Graze, been getting their boxes for about 6 months. My only problem with them is, sone of their snacks are so tasty, I wish I could order bigger sizes to snack on all week!

  5. Wow this is so timely- my friend just posted her first box from them yesterday! It's cool that they have different subscription options, and that the snacks are handpicked! I'm not much of a snacker, but if I was, I think this would be a great option.

  13. My boss does these and often shares, which I appreciate. The things I have tried have been great but I'm not a huge snacker so I don't think I would subscribe... I'll just keep mooching :)

  14. I would just love to try some different things. I don't know that I would subscribe year around, but it might just be good to try some different flavors. The box you showed looks really good :)

  15. Oh my gosh, I have a huge snacking problem lately, as in I am so tired of eating the SAME 4 snacks every day. This would be perfect!! I love that you have the option to do a bi-monthly order, because I am on a budget, hahaha!
Hope you had a great weekend love!

  17. I love this idea! Snacking is the worst part about trying to eat at healthy (at least for me). It's so easy to grab a bag of chips from the vending machine at work when I forget a snack, or don't have anything at home.
