Wait so summer is right around the corner? I somehow forgot- perhaps because of the fact that it was 28 degrees when I woke up last week? I DO always know summer is close because my favorite/worst sale event of the year: EASTER CANDY CLEARANCE! God was watching out for me this year though and cleared out all the Cadbury Mini Eggs and Starburst Jelly Beans before I could get my hands on them. Blessings in disguise I guess. The best thing that has come out of Cadbury Mini Eggs this year is this discussion with my office-mate, who recently moved here from China, that occured as I was
Him: Easter is a Christian Festival, correct? To celebrate their savior is not dead?
Me: Yeah! Well not necessarily 'not dead' more like resurr-
Him: What does this have to do with candy egg?
Me: Oh see the Easter bunny comes at night and leaves candy eggs for kids-
Him: Bunny? A bunny is a rabbit yes? Why does bunny have egg? And what does bunny have to do with your savior? Did he come back to life as a bunny who lays eggs?
Me: I actually have no idea where this whole bunny thing came from now that I think about it?
Him: That is so American.
Anyway, back to summer mode and burning off those eggs- If you have followed this blog, or in fact read any posts, you know I am Type A and always love to have a plan. So here is my 4 Weeks Till Summer Plan- the average workout should be about 45 minutes. Click the links for the workout videos. Nobody got time for 2 hour workouts just to get in shape for summer!

Those workouts sound awesome!!! And lololol to your office mate. The easter bunny, btw, originated in Germany and was a kind of Santa-claus type character that would bring candy and nice things to good children during the easter season. So cool!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing! the bunny thing is super weird, but not just american ;) in france it's a bell, or something. super weird.
ReplyDeleteGet it girl! You can do this!
ReplyDeletei need to plan my workouts so i do it for the whole month, then i post the entire calendar in my workout area and just cross out the days :) makes working out so much easier.
ReplyDeletethanks for linking up!

Vodka and Soda
I need a Cadbury intervention.
ReplyDeleteMy sense of season has been thrown way off since it snowed three weeks ago. I am 85% sure Summer is a myth.
In case Summer is real, I will definitely be using your plan though! Now if only you could come to my house and clear out all of the candy, I'd be set.
This looks like a GREAT workout plan! I think I might try a few of these videos. I've been wanting to try a barre workout, and get back into some yoga too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Oooh Those workouts are AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteI may do a couple.. There's this intense Full Body Circuit at the YMCA in the mornings... I keep MEANING to go to it...
Great workout plan. I can't believe Summer is around the corner, although it actually snowed this morning where I live so I might have a bit more time until bikini season (thankfully) :)
ReplyDeleteMini-eggs are my downfall, I can eat a whole bag in one sitting, made more dangerous by the new "share sized" bags (seriously who shares mini eggs? But now I'm paying the price and need to get back on track. So thanks for the awesome work-out plan!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a good plan! I wish I were this organized!
ReplyDeleteLOL I have similar conversations with my husband about the way we do things (he's from Germany)
ReplyDeleteBunnies and eggs was a pagan ritual. Bunnies symbolize reproduction along w/ the eggs. Anywho great plan....I'm back on top of it with my workouts too. I refuse to be left in the dust with winter weight. OH NO!! #wowlinkup
ReplyDeleteI love a plan, this looks challenging but do-able. Get it!
ReplyDeleteYour office mate proves a valid point lol!!
ReplyDeleteCadbury MINI eggs?! WHAT? I need to find them!!! That is one ambitious workout plan girl! You got this! I've totally been slacking on my workouts and I really need to get my workout on!! I need to rock a bikini in 10 days and I'm not....quite comfy with that fact yet haha.
ReplyDeleteThese workouts sound great! My grocery store had like a million clearance Cadbury eggs that I was able to avoid! :)
ReplyDeleteLove that you have such an ambitious workout plan, but I'm a little sad you missed out on the cadbury egg sale. And even more sad that I missed out on them!! Lol. Thanks for joining the #wowlinkup :)
ReplyDeleteOh gosh...the Easter/bunny/egg thing cracks me up because it is true....and so American! I think we look so ridiculous to other counties sometimes...
ReplyDeleteGirl, I am painstakingly aware that summer is creeping upon us! Yikes! Time to put away those mini eggs and get to work for real!!! We got this!
I luckily stayed away from the Easter Candy this year. I don't know how I managed though. Love your workout lists! The wedding diet/exercise has started for me & I'm always looking for something new to do.
ReplyDelete... I've recently linked my Fitbit up to Kmart/Sears FitStudio, and my workouts earned my quite a bit of ShopYourWayRewards credit and what did I do with it? Bought clearance Easter candy! Aaaaggg! I have a hard time resisting a 1/2 off sale, and one of my boys had been quite upset about not having those Cadbury mini eggs in his basket. I actually don't like those, but I picked up some other candy I DO like.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big planner for my workouts (working out my candy calories) but I do still manage to get a bunch in. I guess it's easier for me, being a SAHM with a home gym. April always does seem to include some weight gain for me though ... I blame Easter!
great post, girl! you're giving me some good ideas!
ReplyDeleteHOLD THE PHONE!?!??!?! Summer is 4 weeks away??? Am I missing something? lol!
ReplyDeleteThat is a hysterical conversation! I love the 4 week plan! I did that, but then I had an injury, but I did get through like a week of it. It was super helpful. I can't wait to do it again!

I thought you might want to read this why eggs came associated with the Easter tradition:
ReplyDeleteThe practice of decorating eggshell is ancient, pre-dating Christian traditions.[6] Ostrich eggs with engraved decoration that are 60,000 years old have been found in Africa.[7] Decorated ostrich eggs, and representations of ostrich eggs in gold and silver, were commonly placed in graves of the ancient Sumerians and Egyptians as early as 5,000 years ago.[8]
The custom of the Easter egg, however, originated in the early Christians of Mesopotamia, who stained eggs red in memory of the blood of Christ, shed at his crucifixion.[9][10] The Christian Church officially adopted the custom, regarding the eggs as a symbol of the resurrection. Visiting from the #wowlinkup.
I have been avoiding Target and Walmart so I do not see the clearance items - I cannot resist a good deal even if I don't need to eat the candy!
ReplyDeleteYour plan sounds great! Good luck!
