Affordable Flats

Thursday, April 23, 2015

Once the weather gets nice and warm we deal with the season's most pressing question: is it appropriate to wear sandals to work?? And if so what kind of sandal? My workplace is pretty casual but flip flops are banned (I think flip flops should be banned in general but that's an odd pet peeve for another day). SO  I'm in the market for some new flats (maybe sandals?) and these are my tops. Usually Target is my go to but lately they haven't been the best deals in town... anyone else notice Target getting pricier over the years??

$14 Loafers @ H&M (TONS of colors)

$24 City Classified D'Orsay Flats @ Charlotte Russe (BOGO sale!)

$25 Frame to Please @ Lulu's (multiple colors)

Where do you find flats? And do you wear sandals to work??

  3. We are allowed to wear dressy sandals and I have found some cute ones at Kohl's. The red ones are really cute!

  4. target are definitely getting pricier, what the hey target! i only buy their shoes on sale. the second ones in your list are SUPER cute. i can't wear sandals to work, the one time i wore flip flops was because i broke my toe. but i don't even wear 'fancy' sandals (aka not flip flops). flats or heels, that's it! sometimes on fridays i wear sneakers, but lets not get too crazy!

  5. As Target has been getting more "name brands" in stock, you're right, I feel like the prices are getting higher. They usually have good coupons to print out or some kind of deal on Target Cartwheel. I save a lot using it! I really like those leopard flats, but I have 2 or 3 different pairs already! I like the open toes from Charlotte Russe, too!

  6. Yes!! I have noticed the prices are getting higher but I started noticing that a while ago. We are fortunate enough to be casual (that is switching to business casual soon) so we can wear open toe shoes. I wear dressy flip flops. So they still have the material between the toe but they aren't like beach or pool flip flops because they have something cute that dresses them up.

  8. I'm ALLLLLLLLLLL about the flats these days, lugging a massive 11 mo old around. I'm not normally a target style fan (I agree - it's expensive for the quality you *don't* get) but I love those brown sandals! I'm also loving those City Classified flats. Do you think they'd rub funny? I usually find shoes like that to be adorable, but real "rubby" in all the wrong ways...
