Right now while the high every day is approximately 9 million degrees and sweat starts dripping from every pore (do I have more pores than everyone else? why am I SO sweaty?), the only thing that is really physically possible to do is to sit and drink a cold drink. In the air conditioning. But the reality is that one has to get from work to place of drinking, and for me that always involves walking a minimum of 2 blocks which involves me looking like I stepped out of a shower fully clothed. So, here is my collection of dresses I like to wear that
do not show sweat are appropriate for the summer daytime ($20 or less of course because it's summer and my money needs to go towards important summer things like vacation, beach, and cold drinks):
PS: I know this is a junior's dress but let me share a little secret I learned from my fashion designer friend: the only differences are the sizing numbers, juniors tend to run a little shorter (perfect for me being all of 5 feet almost 4 inches), and they run cheaper.
So tell me- what is your go-to outfit in this insane heat??
I like the first two so much. Exp the maxi because it looks like separates!
ReplyDeletethat first dress is gorgeous! forever 21 maxis are always too short for me :(
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing dresses too.
ReplyDeleteI have the old navy one.. but it's in a electric blue.
And I love the Forever21 one.
I have a similar one on today.. but, I took a dress shirt over it, and got a cincher belt.. and BAM WORK APPROPRIATE!
Don't forget.. today is TWIT THURSDAY!!!!

It was CRAZY today!
I always sweat a lot in the summer too and am constantly on the look out for dresses that wont let other people know that! I love all your picks, and the price tags too! My go to place to purchase dresses for the summer is the Loft outlet. We have one 20 minutes from my house, so I am very lucky! I can usually score some great ones for under $30. Also, JCPenney always has a few I love every year.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I'm not alone, I totally need to be aware of how much sweat will show when I buy a summer dress. It kind of ruins the look when my back is dripping....these are cute, I especially love the navy strip one
ReplyDeleteHaha I love the title of this post and love that I'm not alone shopping in the juniors section ;)
ReplyDeleteoooh I love the first one! I always seem to wear black, which - you know, doesn't help in the 100 degree heat. I need to switch it up!
ReplyDeleteDresses are my go to in this weather too. They can be easy and breezy, you can dress them up, or make them sexy. I'm drooling over the first one. I prefer long skirts/dresses. I hate my legs, plus you don't have to shave them! Also, I sweat like a pig too. All. Freaking. Year.
ReplyDeleteI like sundresses and skirts for the summer.
ReplyDeleteUgh I feel your pain. I'll even sweat when I'm cold sometimes! It's like what the heck body?! Hope you have a fabulous Friday and weekend!
ReplyDeletei've been wearing lots of dresses as well....however, the target in canada sucks so i can never find anything there :(

Vodka and Soda
I want all of these!! Well, except the tribal one--not my style, but the rest are super cute. Just ship them all to me, mkay??
ReplyDeletexoxo
I've been wearing dresses also to beat this heat! Love the ones you picked out. I'm going to have to check out the juniors section
ReplyDeleteI like to wear dresses sometimes. But most of the time I'm in shorts and a tank. Also convenient in that it won't show sweat! Winning!
ReplyDeletei have that old navy striped dress and get compliments on it EVERYWHERE!
